Born May 1st, 2026 · Mila & Sagee’s third litter
A new crew has arrived.
Born on the Norwegian Labour day. Healthy and active — playing, sleeping, eating. The litter was larger than expected, so a couple of girls and boys are still looking for their forever homes.
CURRENT LITTER · 2026

Personalities, photos, and small milestones.
We will update this page as the puppies start to grow into themselves.

The crew is growing fast.
In the meantime, they are playing and getting used to the leashes and learning to walk with a lead.

how adoption works
No batches. No application forms.
Just sincere communication — you may ask any question, and I will ask too.
You email or call, and we get to know each other. There’s no form, no checklist — just some real time together, where we decide if this becomes a plan. Our puppies have to be true family members in their new home.
THE STORY SO FAR
How this little crew came to be.
This is not a business but a passion. Every litter at Ruterfem begins with the same question — is our girl ready, and is everything well?
When we took Mila to our Vet at the beginning of the year, she confirmed Mila was healthy and ready for a litter. Mila came into heat sooner than we expected — which puts this year’s crew on the same timeline as her first in 2024.
On April 15th, the X-ray confirmed she was expecting four, maybe five puppies. They arrived on May 1st — the Norwegian Labour day — a healthy little crew. The current litter is, in fact, a little larger than the X-ray reading suggested.
Last year’s litter was all spoken for before they were born. This year’s crew still has both male and female puppies looking for the right family. We will assist you in choosing the puppy who suits your family best.
RIGHT NOW
A little crew of seals.
They are seal-coloured for the first week of their lives. Their eyes opened just after two weeks, and now they are very mobile, playful, talkative, and hungry.
At four weeks, they started on moist food. They are busy, funny little creatures who have begun to grow into their own personalities — faster than this website can keep up with. I will be adding individual photos very soon, along with a little something about each pup.
Every puppy here gets two names — a registered name and an early-life name we use around the house. Their permanent call-name will be yours to choose, once you’ve decided which one is coming home with you. None have been chosen yet — they are still growing into who they will be.

Not ready this year?
We keep a waiting list for families who are planning ahead. When Mila retires, we’ll be planning for the next generation. She has been a wonderful mother — but soon it will be her turn to be a carefree family member.
